Certified Medication Aide

Admission Requirements: Active CNA, HHA, or PCA certification required.
Required Documents: Government-issued ID, active certification, high school diploma or equivalent.

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Program prepares qualified healthcare aides to safely assist with medication administration in assisted living and long-term care settings under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

This program is designed for individuals with an active CNA, HHA, or PCA certification who want to expand their clinical skills and advance their healthcare careers.

Students receive training in medication safety, basic pharmacology, dosage preparation, proper medication administration, documentation using MAR records, infection control, and monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
